Earth, Moon and Mars was created from CNC wood cut patterns molded in rubber molds and sand molds and Cast in Iron. The source imagery for the CNC routed patterns is captured from satellite images of the surface of the Earth, Moon and Mars. This project was molded and cast at Sloss Historic Furnaces in Birmingham, AL, during the National Conference on Cast Iron Art and Practices in 2017.
